On Monday, July 11 at 2 p.m., state and local officials will be on hand to make the official announcement that Ishpeming has been named a Michigan Main Street by Governor Jennifer Granholm. The stage area will be near Old Ish Park. Music will be provided by Sisters prior to the event, starting at 1 p.m. Sidewalk sales, free ice cream cones and antique cars will also be featured.
