Copper Harbor, MI – Located at the tip of the Keweenaw Peninsula, Fort Wilkins State Park is a perfect place for stargazing. At 8:00 P.M., join the celebration of the Perseid Meteor shower and enjoy that sticky gooey campfire favorite in the day use area by the Fort Parking Lot. Then at 10 p.m., after cleaning up from our gooey treat, join Joel Kimball, Professor at Gannon University, on the Parade Grounds to view stars, planets, galaxies and more via high powered telescopes.
