Negaunee – The Negaunee City Fire Department will sponsor the annual Pioneer Days Fire Fighters Tournament on Saturday, July 10 at 1 p.m. at Teal Lake in Negaunee.
A community picnic will also be held at that same time along Croix Street, south of Lakeview Elementary School. Fireworks will begin at dusk.
All Marquette County fire departments have been invited to participate. This year’s competition includes the ladder race, hose race, mystery race and the barrel fight where teams with high pressure hoses try to push a barrel on a wire to the opponent’s side.
