The fourth annual Fortune Lake Festival will take place on Saturday, May 12. It will feature outstanding folk and traditional music in a comfortable indoor setting. Folk music artists will teach, demonstrate, and perform throughout the day and evening at Fortune Lake Camp near Crystal Falls, Michigan. Wonderful food and a friendly festival staff will complete the package. This years lineup includes authentic bluegrass music, mountain music, and traditional Scandinavian and Balkan instruments, dances and songs. Morning music classes will last 75 minutes and cost $10 each. Afternoon Song and Dance Sessions are intended for those that want to sing and/or dance. Two concurrent sessions will take place from 1:30-4:30 one for dancing and one for singing. The Dance Session is $7/person ($5/students). Singing sessions are free. Advanced purchase tickets for the Evening Concert are $10 each ($12 at the door, students are $5/ea). The evening concert is indoors and seating is limited so early registration is recommended.
