Marquette – The City of Marquette's 33rd Annual Tree Lighting will be held on Friday, December 5 at the Marquette Commons.
The festivities will begin at 5:45 p.m. with the arrival of Santa, escorted by the Marquette City Fire Departmant.
The tree-lighting ceremony will begin at 6 p.m. with a performance by the Marquette Redmen Chorale.
Mayor John Kivela will be on hand to welcome the public and help Santa light the tree.
Pictures with Santa and pony rides will be offered for a fee until 7 p.m.
