“George Shiras, the Photographer” will be presented by photo historian, Jack Deo, on Thursday, February 22 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library. The program, sponsored by the Marquette County History Museum, will describe how Shiras took the first night-time photographs of wildlife by flashlight. Examples of camera equipment from that era and the actual photographs taken by Shiras will be on display. Admission is free.
