A Native American Women's Wellness Day will be held on Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Whitman Hall Commons on the campus of NMU. The public is invited to attend free of charge. The event features a 10:30 a.m. presentation by Lynn Krahn from Marquette County 4-H about how to prepare meals on a budget. Free blood sugar and cholesterol screenings will be available. Health information from various community organizations will also be offered. The NMU Center for Native American Studies is sponsoring the event.
