The Ishpeming School District and Head Start will be taking applications for their preschool programs that will be offered during the 2007-08 school year. Children who will be three or four years of age by December 1, 2007 are eligible for this screening. Free developmental screening will be available in areas of speech and language, concepts, motor skills, behavior, vision and hearing. The screenings will be held on Monday, April 23 at Wesley United Methodist Church, 801 Hemlock Street in Ishpeming. Parents should call the Head Start office at 228-6522 to schedule an appointment.
