Theatre Interest Night at Northern Michigan University will take place at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, auguast 29 in the Forest Roberts Theatre on campus. Participants can sign up to become involved in the various FRT activities throughout the year. There will be theatrical displays in the lobby and refreshments will be served. Information about auditions, the New York field studies trip, directing scenes and student-directed productions will also be available.Theater students will provide entertainment consisting of scenes, songs, and some special surprises. Masters of ceremonies will be students Kelly Passinault and Travis Moscinski.Chet De Fonso, president of the First Nighters Club, will provide the official welcome and explain the goals of the group and share some of the exciting activities planned by the theater booster organization for the upcoming year.James A. Panowski, Forest Roberts Theatre director, will introduce the theater faculty, who will discuss the season and how to become involved in the Forest Roberts Theatre Training Program.Graduate interns, FRT production staff and returning theater students will also be presented. The evening will conclude with a tour of the theater facilities, including the newly renovated backstage rigging and revamped dressing rooms.For more information, call 227-2082 between noon and 5 p.m.
