Residents in Forsyth Township can take advantage of a curbside pick-up of scrap metal, tires and batteries on Tuesday, July 24. All scrap must be out by 8 a.m. and piled no closer than 50 feet from the road. All metal items, big and small will be collected. Refrigerators and freezers must have the $5 paid receipt sticker, available at the Assessor's Office. Cars, trucks, vans and trailers to be picked up should be called in before July 24 (346-6246) and Keweenaw Scrap Metal will pay $50 to the vehicle owner for all scrap vehicles picked up. All vehicles for scrap must be very clearly marked with an “x” spray painted on the drivers side door. For more information, call 346-6246.
