Marquette Regional History Center to Present “Explosion!!” – May 9

Marquette, Mi. – The Marquette Regional History Center will present “Explosion!!” on Wednesday, May 9 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Center, 145 W. Spring Street in Marquette.

Hear about the events leading up to the explosion of a boxcar loaded with nitro-glycerin on a railroad siding west of Negaunee in 1878 and the tragic aftermath. Historian, Bill Van Kosky will be the presenter.
