The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will present “Cancer: One of Life’s Wakeup Calls” on Thursday, October 23 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Whitman Hall Commons at Northern Michigan University. Dave Smith, Carol Margrif and Mary Beth Lorsbach will detail their personal experiences coping with cancer, and will discuss suggestions for relating to others with the illness. There will be opportunity for questions. Cost is $4 for NCLL members, $7 for others. Registration deadline is Friday, October 19. Call class liaison Ellen Zaki at 226-6169.
