Calumet – “Saving Snow” Pre-Release Screening and Q&A will be held on Thursday, March 1 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Calumet Theater, 340 Sixth Street in Calumet.
Across the country, people who depend on winter for their livelihood are feeling the heat. On the sidelines of skiing and snowboarding, an epic struggle to reverse rising temperatures is unfolding. The sport of dog mushing is not immune and in fact have felt the issues for years. Ski towns and the snow sports industry are paving the way towards a clean energy future.
The film is being shown in conjunction with the Copper Dog 150 events. The screening will be followed by a panel Q&A with local industry and tourism participants.
