Marquette – A free presentation titled “Growing Up in Communism” will be offered on Thursday, January 25 at 7 p.m. in the seminar room of the Beaumier Center in Gries Hall at Northern Michigan University.
English professors Marek Haltof, who grew up in Poland, and Z.Z. Lehmberg, who grew up in China, will be the presenters. The event is being held in conjunction with the “Cold War and the U.P.” exhibition, which will be open for viewing that evening.
Admission to the Cold War and the U.P. exhibit is free. Regular Beaumier Center hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call 227-3212.
