Marquette – In honor of May as Mental Health month, a noontime drop-in Lunch and Learn session on “Psychological Trauma and Early Death” will be offered on Tuesday, May 5 at noon in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
This session explores the importance of accurate diagnosis and ethical treatment of patients that experience severe post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms but may have been treated traditionally
across multiple systems for psychotic disorders. These patients may have poor response to anti-psychotic medications and express fear of sedatives. The focus should be on recovery rather than symptom management or subdued central nervous system
There is no admission charge and no pre-registration is required. Attendees are invited to bring a sack
lunch. For more information visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4318.
