Ishpeming – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will sponsor a tour of the Republic Wetlands Preserve on Friday, October 8 at 8 a.m. with the bus picking up participants at the Berry Events Center, and at 8:25 a.m. at the Cliffs Shaft Mine Museum in Ishpeming.
The tour, presented by E.J. Kutchie of Cliffs Natural Resources, will allow participants to view the reclaimed tailings basin from the Republic mine. There will be some hiking.
