The Marquette Regional History Center Presents “Maritime Memories” – Wednesday October 4

Marquette, Michigan – The Marquette Regional History Center presents: Maritime Memories Wednesday October 4, 6:30 at MRHC

Spend an evening with character reenactors as they tell their stories of serving at the Marquette and Eagle Harbor lighthouses from the Civil War to the turn of the century. You will meet two female lighthouse keepers, Eliza Truckey and Mary Ann Wheatley, who were monumental for their time. As well, you will meet the first captain of the U.S. Life Saving Service in Marquette, Captain Henry Cleary. Enjoy these compelling Lake Superior stories and hear how their paths intertwine.
