Lake Effect Performs Weather-Themed Shows April 23rd and 24th

MARQUETTE, Mich.—Northern Michigan University’s Lake Effect Show Choir will “sing and dance up a storm” at its upcoming weather-themed show, scheduled over two consecutive nights. The performances will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, and Thursday, April 24, in the University Center Great Lakes Rooms.

Hot and cold beverages, warm appetizers and chilled desserts will be served at the concert. The full ensemble and featured soloists will perform Here Comes the Sun, Aquarius/Let the Sunshine In, Singin’ In the Rain, Don’t Rain on My Parade, Let It Snow, Frosty the Snowman, Baby It’s Cold Outside and select songs from the newest Disney movie, Frozen. The choir will also feature songs by a rock group that “took America by storm” 50 years ago.

Tickets are $15 and on sale through Monday, April 21, at Forsberg Flowers of Marquette or through the NMU music department at 227-2563. Lake Effect is directed by NMU professor Sharon Green.
