Escanaba – The U.P. Steam and Gas Engine Association’s 42nd Annual Labor Day Weekend Show will be held Friday, September 1 through Monday, September 4 at the U.P. State Fair Grounds in Escanaba.
Show hours are:
Friday, September 1: (Preview Day) noon to 5 p.m.
Saturday, September 2: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday, September 3: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Monday, September 4: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year’s feature will be Ford, Fordson, and Ferguson equipment. Displays will include antique tractors, antique farming equipment, gas and steam engines, many demonstrations, and a daily tractor parade at 1 p.m. and the engine Crank UP will be at 2 p.m.
The Agricultural Museum will be open, as well as the Antique Village. There will be a flea market, a gun and knife show, and an antique auto show. Also, many food vendors will be on hand. New this year in the Antique Village is the Chapel, which has been built with many volunteer hours provided by members of the U.P. Steam and Gas Engine Association, spearheaded by Ann Jousma Miller.
Admission is $6 per day per person. Exhibitors and children under 14 are admitted free. $10 weekend wristbands are also available. For more information, go to www.upsteamandgasengine.org.
