Marquette – A grief group will meet for 8 weeks on Monday evenings beginning on July 10 and ending on August 28 at 7 p.m. each evening at Messiah Lutheran Church, 305 W. Magnetic Street in Marquette.
Whether your grief is fresh or continues after years of struggle, whether you grieve the loss of a parent, spouse, sibling, friend or child, you are invited. Participants will use the book “Understanding Your Grief” by Allen Wohlfeldt as a guide. Each person will be respected as an intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual
whole. The goal is not to “resolve” the pain of grief or to bring “closure” to a loss, but rather to facilitate each person’s journey with grief, so as to experience healing and a renewed sense of joy and purpose in life.
The group will be led by Beth Wendricks and Pastor Dave Van Kley.
