Marquette – The Peter White Public Library’s Tasty Reads book club will meet on Monday, November 15 from noon to 1 p.m. in the library’s Dandelion Cottage Room for a discussion of “Jan Karon’s Mitford Cookbook and Kitchen Reader.”
Participants are invited to bring a sack lunch and enjoy a sample recipe from the book.
The book is loaded with tips, hints, jokes, culinary quotes, and recipes such as Miss Sadie’s Apple Pie to Puny’s Cornbread and Emma’s Pork Roast to Marge’s Sweet Tea with Peppermint.
