Marquette – Film fans are invited to a free screening of the modern classic “Being There” on Thursday, May 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.

Released in 1979, this comedy shows how a simple gardener becomes a trusted advisor to a powerful Washington insider. Starring Peter Sellers, Shirley MacLaine and Melvyn Douglas, this movie is rated PG and runs 2 hours 10 minutes.
