Marquette – The Northern Center for Lifelong Learning will offer a special free class on “Highlights of Romania and Transylvania” on Tuesday, February 28 from 7 to 9 p.m. in Room 101B of the Superior Dome at Northern Michigan University..
The topic will include the cities of Brasov, Bucharest, Sighisaura and Sinaia and will feature the culture of the Roma, Peoples Palace, Peles Castle, Vlad Dracula and Bran Castle, and the 12th century Saxon UNESCO World Heritage Site. Participants will learn about the artistry of Christo/Jeanne-Claude, Albrecht Durer, and a Romanian Folk Ensemble.
