Baraga – Wanda Jones of Michigan Special Education Mediation Programs will lead the workshop “Listen Up and Speak Out For Your Child” on Monday, July 23 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. at the Ojibwa Senior Center, 208 N. Main Street, Baraga.
The workshop is for parents, family, friends, and professionals who have, know, or work with children enrolled in Special Education.
This workshop will help identify what makes a quality Individualized Education Program (IEP). Parents are a key part of the IEP team. This workshop focuses on listening and communication skills designed to facilitate a quality IEP in which the students’ education needs are met.
