Marquette – Northern Michigan University’s Special Events Committee will host the inaugural WinterFest Tailgate, prior to the NMU-Michigan Tech hockey game, on Friday, February 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. in a heated tent between the PEIF and the Berry Events Center.
The event will include hot chocolate, music by DoubleTrouble DJs and activities that incorporate the WinterFest theme of Alice in Winterland. “Minute to Win It”-style games with prizes include Queen of Hearts, which involves finding the hidden face card in the tent. There will also be a Mad Hatter hat competition and a sign competition to create items to bring to the game.
