Marquette – DocuMonday will screen the documentary film “Being Mortal” on Monday, January 9 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Originally aired on PBS’s “Frontline” television series, this film follows renowned New Yorker writer and Boston surgeon Atul Gawande as he explores the relationships doctors have with patients who are nearing the end of life.
“Being Mortal” is rated TV-14 and runs for 60 minutes. A question and answer period after the film will be led by Lake Superior Hospice Medical Director, Dr. Larry Skendzel and Ruth A. Almén, Lake Superior Hospice Director of Community Relations and Program Development.
