Marquette – The Laughing Whitefish Audubon Society’s annual Christmas Bird Count will be held on Saturday, December 17 beginning at 8 a.m. at Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette.
Groups will be formed to cover various regions of the count area. The count will last until about noon, and participants are asked to dress warmly. Birders of all abilities are invited, and new participants will be paired with experienced counters. Participants may also count birds at their home feeders by pre-registering and requesting a tally sheet.
