Marquette, Michigan – November 10, 2016 – Northern Michigan University professor Amy Hamilton will present an English Faculty Research Colloquium titled “Peregrinations: Walking in American Literature.” This is the tentative title of her second book, which explores the trope of walking in American texts from a cross-cultural perspective. Hamilton demonstrates how representations of walking allow writers to engage with a wide array of histories, stories and traditions.
