English Prof Discusses Walking in Literature – 11/11/16

Marquette, MichiganNovember 10, 2016 – Northern Michigan University professor Amy Hamilton will present an English Faculty Research Colloquium titled “Peregrinations: Walking in American Literature.” This is the tentative title of her second book, which explores the trope of walking in American texts from a cross-cultural perspective. Hamilton demonstrates how representations of walking allow writers to engage with a wide array of histories, stories and traditions.

The talk begins at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, in 1320 Jamrich Hall. The public is invited. For more information, contact the English department at 227-2711 or english@nmu.edu.
