Marquette – Carol J. Adams, author of “The Sexual Politics of Meat,” will give a presentation on Thursday, October 27 at 6 p.m. in 1320 Jamrich Hall at Northern Michigan University.
Her book explores a relationship between patriarchal values and meat eating by interweaving the insights of feminism, vegetarianism, animal defense and literary theory. “The Sexual Politics of Meat” inspired and enraged readers and triggered international media coverage when it was first published in 1990.
