Calendar – Films/Documentaries – BYO Meal Film Event to Screen “Born to Be Blue” – Oct. 6

Marquette – Movie and jazz fans are invited to enjoy a bring your own meal film event for a screening of “Born to Be Blue” on Thursday, October 6 at 6 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.

This biographical drama is a remarkably creative re-imagining of jazz trumpet legend Chet Baker’s struggle to over come drug addiction and stage a musical comeback in the late 1960s.

“Bornto Be Blue” premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in September 2015, is rated R, and runs for 97 minutes. Viewers are welcome to bring their own takeout meal to enjoy in the
dinner theater setting.
