Marquette – Matinee Movie series will offer a free screening of the drama “Youth” on Thursday, September 1 at 12:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
The film is a story about Fred, a retired orchestra conductor, who is on holiday at an elegant hotel in the Alps. Accompanying him is his daughter and his film director best friend, Mick. While Mick scrambles to finish the screenplay for what he imagines will be his last important film, Fred has no intention of ever resuming his musical career. But someone wants, at all costs, to hear him conduct again.
This Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee premiered in Los Angeles in February 2016, runs for 104 minutes and is rated PG-13. Matinee Movie welcomes the public to bring their own lunch and enjoy the movie in a dinner theater setting. Closed captioning will be on to ensure access for all.
