Negaunee – The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten will begin on Monday, June 13 at 10:30 a.m. at the Negaunee Public Library.
This national program challenges parents and caregivers to share 1,000 books with babies and young children before they are
five years old. Reading aloud daily with young children benefits their development in many ways, and helps them prepare to learn in school. With just one bedtime story every night, 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten can be completed in less than three years. This program will run during the regularly scheduled Reading Rugrats story time for infants and toddlers, and will be available year-round.
