Ishpeming– The Ishpeming High School will present the classic musical “Bye Bye Birdie” Friday, May 13 through Sunday, May 15 in the Ishpeming High School auditorium. Friday and Saturday shows are at 7 p.m. and the Sunday show is at 2 p.m.
Director Denise Clark cleverly moved the setting of Sweet Apple, Ohio to Ishpeming, Michigan. Instead of Maude’s Bar, one of the scenes will be set in the Congress. There are several other Ishpeming references laced throughout the show as well.
Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for students. Tickets will be sold at the door and at the Ishpeming High School Office.
