Calendar – Outdoors – Wildflower and Woodlands Walk at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore – May 28

Munising – Celebrate spring at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Ranger Andrea Chynoweth will lead a Wildflower and Woodlands Walk for all ages on Saturday, May 28 beginning at 1 p.m. in the park at Miners Castle in Munising.

Participants will identify wildflowers, learn about northern hardwood forest ecology, and discuss the impact of invasive species during this leisurely one hour stroll. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Be prepared for bugs. Bring water and your camera!

Meet at the Miners Castle Information Center, located six miles north of H-58 at the end of Miners Castle Road. For more information, contact Ms. Chynoweth at 387-2602.
