Ishpeming – The 7th Annual Project Feed A Neighbor will be held beginning with the assembly of food collection bags on Tuesday, April 5 from 6 to 9 p.m.. at Wesley United Methodist Church, 801 Hemlock Street in Ishpeming.
On Saturday, April 9 from 10 to noon, drivers and students will deliver bags throughout Ishpeming. On Saturday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to noon the bags will be collected and delivered to food pantries at the Salvation Army and St. Vincent de Paul.
The generous Christmas season donations have been depleted by Spring and there is a significant need to restock the panty shelves to support needy families throughout the remainder of the year. This very important community outreach relies on the willingness of many people to give a small amount of time toward successful achievement of the project.
Please consider being part of this great effort. Anyone can volunteer to help with bag assembly and distribution on any of these days. All community members are encouraged to fill the bags they receive with non perishable food donations.
