Marquette – “Resilience: Two Sisters and a Story of Mental Illness” with Jessie Close will be offered on Monday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Jamrich Hall 1100 on the campus of Northern Michigan University.
Jessie Close is an internationally-recognized speaker, author, poet and advocate for mental health reform. She lives with bipolar disorder and wrote the book “Resilience,” in which she shares her story of triumphing over her illness.
The event is free for NMU students with id and $2 for the general public. This event is sponsored by NMU’s Platform Personalities, the Diversity Common Reader Program, and the Student Finance Committee. For more information, call 227-6543.
