Marquette, MI – November 15, 2018 – Marquette Mountain is scheduled to give away fitted helmets on Sunday, November 18th at 1:00 pm to the first 150 children who register for the Helmet Head Club during an event at the mountain sponsored by Upper Peninsula Health Plan, Eagle Mine and Upper Peninsula Health Systems of Marquette.
The event is brought to you by employees and volunteers from Marquette Mountain, Marquette Mountain Ski Patrol, Northern Michigan University Ski & Snowboard Club, NMU Athletic Trainers, UPHP, and UPHS.
The Helmet Head Project, previously called Heads U.P. on Safety, will educate kids and families on the benefits of wearing a properly fitted helmet. The first 150 kids 17 years or younger who register for the Helmet Head Club at the event will receive a fitted helmet. All children who participate in the event will receive a Helmet Head sticker and become an official member of the Helmet Head Club.
The event will be located at the Marquette Mountain Chalet, 4501 M-553, Marquette, MI 49855.
