Marquette – Film fans are invited to a bring your own meal movie event with two screenings of “Bridge of Spies” on Tuesday, March 15 at 12:30 p.m. and again at 6 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
Tom Hanks, Mark Rylance, and Alan Alda star in the riveting drama set during the Cold War, when an American lawyer is recruited to defend an arrested Soviet spy in court. The lawyer helps the CIA facilitate an exchange of the spy for the Soviet captured American U2 spy plane pilot, Francis Gary Powers.
Based on a true story, the film premiered at the 2015 New York Film Festival, is rated PG-13 and runs for 142 minutes.
The Matinee Movie will be shown with closed captioning on for access to all while the BYO Dinner theater screening will be shown with no subtitles. Viewers are welcome to bring their own takeout meal to enjoy in the dinner theater setting.
