BYO Dinner Theater – Pawn Sacrifice at PWPL January

Peter White Public Library invites film fans to a BYO Dinner Theater event on Tuesday, January 19 for a screening of “Pawn Sacrifice” at 6:00pm in the library’s Community room.

In a gripping true story set during the height of the Cold War, American chess prodigy Bobby Fischer, played by Tobey Marquette, Michigan – Maguire, finds himself caught between two superpowers when he challenges the Soviet Empire. This drama chronicles Fischer’s terrifying struggles with genius and madness, and the rise and fall of a kid from Brooklyn who captured the imagination of the world.

Also starring Liev Schreiber, as Soviet chess champ Boris Spassky, “Pawn Sacrifice” was released in U.S. theaters in September 2015, rated PG-13 and runs for 116 minutes.

Viewers are welcome to bring their own takeout meal to enjoy in a dinner theater setting.
