Calendar – Education – “What is Bio-Char?” Presentation – Jan. 29

Marquette – The Northern Climate Network at Northern Michigan University seminar series will offer “What is Bio-Char?” with Heather Nobert, Marquette native and Nebraska Forest Service employee, on Friday, January 29 at noon in 1318 Jamrich Hall.

Nobert has been developing and promoting markets for timber and wood products. She will discuss a range of carbon sequestration possibilities with bio-char, from micro-projects to the industrial level and from the Amazon to Ishpeming.

The public is invited to attend.
