Iron River – More than 200 high-energy, hard-driving dogs will line up to compete in the 4th annual IronLine Sled Dog race on January 29 and 30 in Iron River.
The first stage of the 2-day race will begin under the lights at 6 p.m. at the Klint Safford Memorial RV park.
On Saturday, the 25-30 pro-class teams will start at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 4-dog, 12-mile recreational class race. Saturday spectators will also be able to watch the start of the IronLine Fat Tire bike race – a new and fast-growing sport with cyclists racing on “fat” 4-inch tires over snow-covered trails.
