Downtown Marquette New Year’s Eve Ball Drop

Ring in the New Year at the 27th Annual New Year’s Eve Ball Drop in Downtown Marquette on Thursday, December 31, 2015. Countdown to midnight with friends and family and watch as the illuminated ball is lowered from the historic Savings Bank Building on the corner of Front and Washington Streets. According to Mona Lang, Marquette Downtown Development Authority Executive Director, “This is a great event for the community and an exciting way to bring in the New Year.”

The Marquette City Commission has generously waived the street closure and police protection fees to help bring this popular events to the community. The event is sponsored by the City of Marquette and the Marquette Downtown Development Authority.

Share in the magic of the twelfth strike marking the beginning of 2016 at this family friendly community celebration.
