Calendar – Films/Documentaries – “The Sting” Film Screening – Dec. 17

Marquette – A free screening of the modern classic film “The Sting” will be offered on Thursday, December 17 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.

This comic crime drama is set in Chicago in September 1936, where a young con man seeking revenge for his murdered partner teams up with a master of the big con to win a fortune from a criminal banker. The film features a musical score composed by Marvin Hamlisch.

“The Sting” was released in 1973, is rated PG, and runs for 129 minutes. Light refreshments will be served.
