Marquette – The Building Hope in Uncertain Times Series will offer a free screening of the film “Five Broken Cameras” on Tuesday, December 8 at 7 p.m. in the Community Room of the Peter White Public Library.
“Five Broken Cameras” is a deeply personal, first-hand account of life and non-violent resistance in a West Bank village surrounded by Israeli settlements. Shot by Palestinian farmer Emad Burnat, on his first camera beginning in 2005, the film follows his family’s evolution over five years of village upheaval.
Released in 2011, the 90 minute documentary will be introduced by Barbara Michael, Marquette resident and acquaintance of the film producers.
The Building Hope program series offers a variety of events to inspire, encourage and create positive change within our community.
