Marquette – Northern Michigan University’s Forest Roberts Theatre will present the Stephen Sondheim musical, Into The Woods” Wednesday, November 18 through Saturday, November 21 at 7:30 p.m. each evening in the James A. Panowski Black Box Theater at NMU. A matinee performance will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m.
“Into The Woods” is a musical about a childless baker and his wife, who venture into the woods to try to break the family curse placed on them by the witch. In the woods, they meet Rapunzel, Cinderella, Jack and his beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood and other fairytale characters. In Act II, the characters find out that “happily ever after” isn’t always quite so happy.
