Lansing, Michigan – October 15, 2015 – The Michigan Commission on Services to the Aging (CSA) will hold a public meeting on Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at 1 p.m. to hear from local residents about aging services in the state of Michigan.
The meeting will be held at the U.P. Area Agency on Aging, UPCAP Services, Inc., located at 2501 14th Avenue South in Escanaba, MIThose needing accommodations to attend may contact Carol Dye at 517-373-8268.
The CSA advises the governor, Michigan Legislature, and the Aging & Adult Services Agency (AASA) on matters relating to policies and programs for older adults in Michigan.
The CSA, a 15 member body appointed by the governor, also reviews and approves grants received by AASA and participates in the development of the state plan and budget, as required by the federal Older Americans Act of 1965, as amended.
