NMU Science Olympiad Saturday, February 8th

(Marquette, MI 49855) – The Seaborg Center at Northern Michigan University will host the Upper Peninsula Regional Science Olympiad Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 8. Fourteen middle school teams and 12 high school teams will compete in events related to biology, chemistry, clinical lab sciences, mathematics, robotics and earth, environmental, and geological sciences. More than 125 volunteers make this event possible.

Media are welcome to cover the event. Some of the more visual activities and times are:

Scrambler, 11:30 a.m. in the 3600 West Science hallway

Wheel a Vehicle, 1:30 p.m. in the 3500 West Science hallway

Helicopters and elastic-launched gliders, 12:30 in Vandament Arena.

The awards ceremony will follow at 6 p.m. in Jamrich 102. For more information, contact Susan Nazarko at 227-2196.
