Marquette, Michigan – October 16, 2015 – A loving marriage and towering ambition lead to murder and betrayal in one of Shakespeare’s greatest works. Written around 1606, Macbeth contains themes for all time.
Twelve actors bring the tragedy to life in a terrifyingly intimate and creatively staged production at Marquette’s Ore Dock Brewing Company, with Thomas Laitinen as Macbeth and Jessica “Red” Bays as Lady Macbeth.
A potent combination of tragedy and horror balanced against moments of dark comedy make for an unforgettable evening of theatre. The Upper Peninsula Shakespeare Festival’s mission is to provide the people of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and beyond with bold, engaging productions of Shakespeare’s plays, to build upon and support local arts and culture, and to promote the appreciation of timeless literature by all people. They will once again deliver upon their promise! Order tickets at www.upshakes.org or call 1-734-578-2528 for more info.
The play will take place on October 18, 21, 25 & 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Ore Docking Brewing Company located at 114 W Spring St, Marquette, MI 49855.
