Workshop to Get on the PATH to Better Health in Newberry

Newberry, MI – Do you live with health problems? Would you like to feel better? Would you like to feel less frustrated and more in control of your health? PATH (Personal Action Toward Health) is a six week program that teaches practical skills for living a healthy life with a chronic health condition like diabetes, lung disease, arthritis, asthma, chronic pain, or heart disease. Topics include healthy eating, physical activity, managing medications, communication skills, fall prevention, and much more. People who have attended this six session program feel better, are less limited by their health problems, and spend less time at the doctor or in the hospital.

The class will meet on Wednesday afternoons at the Community Action in Newberry from 1:00-3:30 p.m. beginning on January 23rd and ending on February 27th. There is no cost to attend.

Class sizes are limited and pre-registration is required.

To register, call 1-800-338-7227 or dial 2-1-1. The program is administered by UPCAP with support from Chippewa-Luce-Mackinac Community Action Agency and community volunteers. For more information, please visit www.upcap.org/events.
