Marquette – The Rabbit Island 2015 Residency Exhibition will open Friday, September 25, at the DeVos Art Museum at Northern Michigan University. It highlights the work of five artists, composers and writers who spent part of the summer on the remote Lake Superior island.
An opening reception is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Marquette community singers will perform the original composition, “Sacred Warp and Woof Song Cycle” by Noam Enbar, at 7 p.m. Admission is free.
The exhibition runs through Nov3mber 8. Museum hours are Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m.
